Welcome to Pearls & Roses, a personal online shop offering private sales of vintage and antique haberdashery, buttons, craft materials, embroidery threads, sewing accessories and old shop stock.
NO SALES FROM HOME AND NO PHYSICAL SHOP
Pearls & Roses is an online-only shop. There is no physical shop and no open sales address. Collection from my home is only possible when this has been agreed in advance.
Old stock, new purpose
Many of the items come from old shop stock, clearance lots, private collections, studios, market stalls and haberdashery shops that have closed down. Some are the last remaining examples of designs that have not been produced for decades.
I think it is a shame to see beautiful and useful materials disappear when they still have so much creativity left in them. So here they get a second chance.

The website is a little like treasure hunting – only neatly organised by category. Take your time browsing and who knows, you may find something you didn't even know you were looking for.
Private sales
The items are sold privately from my own old stock, collections and personal belongings. This is not a regular commercial retail business.
Sales are subject to the private sales terms and conditions, rather than standard professional online-shop terms and conditions.

Shipping abroad
Please contact me before placing your order to ask about the shipping costs.
Shipping costs depend on the size and weight of your order and on the available shipping method.
If you prefer to place your order directly, you can select “Collection from location” at checkout instead of a shipping option. Your order will not automatically be treated as a collection: the actual shipping costs will be calculated afterwards and you will be informed of the additional amount still to be paid.
This allows me to find the most economical shipping option for your particular order.
